Cole Cote, a senior musical theatre major at Texas State University-San Marcos, has won the “Singing with the Broadway Stars” competition.

Cote, along with three runners-up, have been invited to sing on stage with the performers of Neil Berg’s 101 Years of Broadway playing two shows Feb. 17 and 18 at Boerne Champion High School Auditorium. Cote will sing a solo in the evening’s performance prior to joining the other three finalists for one musical selection in this gala concert.

The students auditioned by uploading 90 to 120 second videos of themselves singing Broadway favorites through various social networking websites. Each winner will receive a pair of tickets to the show for family or friends, a CD of the show and the opportunity to sing with five of Broadway’s finest voices.

Neil Berg’s 101 Years of Broadway concert features Broadway stars of Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Jekyll and Hyde, Fiddler on The Roof, Wonderful Town, Tarzan, Cats, The Woman in White, It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues singing hit songs from the last 101 Years of Broadway musicals.
