Approximately 350 Texas State employees attended the third annual Employee Wellness Fair, held Oct. 26 in the LBJ Student Center Ballroom.

Participants at the event visited 42 different booths with services ranging from vision screening, hearing, blood pressure, blood glucose and body fat percentage to registering with the bone marrow registry. Participants donated food items for the Hays County Food Bank.

Grand prize winners were: memberships to the Student Recreation Center—Linda Lovelace, Disability Services, and Stacey Sparks, Undergraduate Admissions; the San Marcos Activity Center—Betsy Haddad, Multicultural Student Affairs; the Total Wellness Program—Lisa Tobias, School of Social Work; and a body composition analysis and nutrition counseling from the Family and Consumer Sciences Nutrition Program—Tammy Coyle, Human Resources.

In addition to the grand prizes, winning participants enjoyed door prizes during the entire event with items donated from both on-campus offices and off-campus entities. Event organizers extend their thanks to all donating offices as well as to student volunteers, Staff Council for coordinating the event registration and Parking Services for assisting with event parking.
