Established in July 2008, Money Savvy Cats serves as Texas State University-San Marcos’ financial literacy organization providing college students with money management skills and access to personal financial planning resources to help build a healthy financial future.

Money Savvy Cats offer information for students to create spending plans, understanding their credit scores and how to prevent identity theft.

According to Money Savvy Cats, information on credit management is more important than ever since a credit card reform bill has been signed into action that will soon affect young spenders’ ability to own and use credit cards.

The Money Savvy Cats website provides students’ free personal financial planning resources, as well as credit information and advice for young spenders.
