Round Rock Higher Education Center honored with STEP Award

Texas State University-San Marcos’ Round Rock Higher Education Center has been honored with a 2009 STEP Award for academic support services.
 
The RRHEC was awarded silver recognition for its outstanding academic support services as a multi-institutional teaching center. Judging criteria was based on effective use of resources, creative or innovative approach to problems and results based on goals and objectives.
 
The STEP Awards--Successful Transfer Enhancement Program--were announced during the Texas Transfer Success Conference in Austin sponsored by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and coordinated by the National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students at the University of North Texas. A total of 67 entries were received in eight categories, with 57 percent of all entries coming from four-year institutions and 43 percent from two-year institutions.
