Established in 1981, the Orchesis Dance Company is a modern-based group of talented dancers and performers.
Orchesis is committed to providing dancers with a home and a place in which to challenge their creativity and broaden their view of art.  Not only does Orchesis allow a place to dance but it also gives students a creative outlet.  In the off-season, the organization brings in guest artists to teach master classes which range from musical theatre, ballet, hip-hop, flamenco, yoga and an African drum classes. Past guest artists include the Hawkins Company in New York, West African Dancers from Tapestry in Austin and Body-Mind Centering expert Ray Shwartz from Austin.
