Performances will be 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24-25 at the University Performing Arts Center on campus, with a 2:30 p.m. matinee Oct. 26. Texas State psychology professor Theron Stimmel will give a pre-show talk beginning at 6:45 p.m. prior to the Oct. 24-25 performances.

The Turn of the Screw follows a young governess who takes up a position caring for two young children in the 1890’s English countryside. She soon discovers a dark, ugly secret about the house, and that a vengeful spirit continues to haunt it--as well as those within.

Sung in English with a full orchestra of Texas State faculty and fellow professionals, the Texas State production of The Turn of the Screw offers the perfect dose of chills for the Halloween season.

Admission prices are $10 for the general public, $5 for Texas State students. Tickets may be purchased in person at the School of Music offices, or reserved by phone at (512) 245-2651 to reserve.
