Philosophy Dialogue Series features ‘Mysticism’

The spring 2008 Philosophy Dialogue Series at Texas State University-San Marcos continues through Feb. 25-28 with “Mysticism” in room PSY 132. Discussions are free and open to the public.

On Feb. 27 at 11 a.m. Vince Luizzi will present “Spiritual Genius: A Jamesian Analysis with a Twist.”

Justin Miears and Jeffrey Rodriguez from “Sophists and Sages” will feature “William James on Mysticism and Religious Experience” on Feb. 28 at 11 a.m.

Co-sponsors of the Philosophy Dialogue Series are the American Democracy Project, Anthem Foundation for Objectivist Scholarship, College of Liberal Arts, Common Experience, Gina Weatherhead Dialogue Fund, The New York Times, Mitte Honors Program, University Seminar, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Vice President for Student Affairs.

Daily copies of the The Times are provided near room PSY 132 to promote informed dialogues.
