The world-famous Julliard School will collaborate with Texas State University-San Marcos for a concert and performance March 6 at 8 p.m. in Evans Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public.

The show is titled “Watersong: Julliard Rejoins Texas State for a Celebration of the Arts” and will feature 18 musicians, dancers and actors from the New York City-based conservatory alongside talent from Texas State.

Alumnus and current Julliard doctoral candidate Wayne Oquin will direct the collaboration under mentor Milton Babbitt. The performance will follow this year’s “Common Experience” theme of water.

The show includes theatrical scenes, original choreography and avante-garde works by such composers as Ravel, Schoenberg, Takamitsu and Xenakis.
