Latino Student Association plans Cesar Chavez celebration

The Latino Student Association at Texas State University-San Marcos will host a celebration of the life and achievements of Cesar E. Chavez Wednesday, March 28 from 5-7 p.m. in room 3-15.1 of the LBJ Student Center on campus.

The “Si se Puede Latino Meet and Greet Social” is open to all Texas State students, faculty and staff members, but most especially to those interested in learning more about the accomplishments of the United Farm Worker Cesar E. Chavez.

Special guests include Vice President of Student Affairs Joanne Smith, Gloria Martinez of the department of sociology, Presidential Fellow Paul Hart, plus representatives from the Texas State Mentoring Office, Texas State Leadership Office and Hispanic Policy Network.

This event will provide a forum for networking with others who value Hispanic culture.
