Rose shares views on ethics with Texas State students

SAN MARCOS—The Texas State University-San Marcos Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) announced today that State Representative Patrick Rose will be speaking at Texas State on Thursday, Feb. 24in the LBJ Teaching Theater. This event is part of an on-going campaign to make students aware of and learn ethical practices to lead them through life.

As a legislator, Rep. Patrick Rose has been active in passing ethics reform legislation and his remarks will address ethics in the work place as well as in politics. A long time advocate of stronger ethics and transparency in state government, Rep. Patrick Rose will share what changes the Legislature will consider during this session of the Texas House of Representatives. Rose represents Texas State in the legislature as well as all of Blanco, Caldwell and Hays counties. He also represents the university and his district on the House Higher Education Committee.

This event is part of a campaign to promote the newly created Texas State Honor Code. It was created to strengthen the integrity of the Texas State community and the Texas Hill Country.

PRSSA encourages all citizens to attend in hopes of establishing and reinforcing ethical foundations. This event is open to the public. Rep. Rose will be available to answer questions. Please join us on Thursday, Feb. 24 at Texas State at 6:30 p.m. in the LBJ Teaching Theater.
